What families ask before they start
What if I don't know all of their service details?
You don't need a complete record. Fill in what you know — every question that isn't essential can be skipped, and the book is written around what you give us rather than guessing at the rest. Many families finish a first draft, then go back and add details after talking to a relative.
Can I make a book for someone who has passed away?
Yes. A memorial book is built for exactly that — written in remembrance, using photographs, dates, service history and the memories of the people who knew them. You can dedicate it to a family, a department or a unit.
Do you make books for firefighters, police and EMS?
Yes, and they are not military books with the words swapped out. Each hero type has its own questions, its own vocabulary and its own illustration references — department and station, apparatus and assignments, certifications and calls.
How long does it take?
Most families spend 30–45 minutes on the questionnaire, spread over as many sittings as they like. The draft book is generated the same day. Printing and shipping typically takes 7–12 business days after you approve the proof.
Can I change the story after it's generated?
Every page can be reworded, and any illustration can be regenerated, as many times as it takes. Nothing goes to print until you approve the proof.
Who owns the photographs and the finished book?
You do. Your photographs stay private to your account, are never published, and the book is yours to reprint, share and pass on.
